Great Danes after she retired and she is really enjoying it.

You've had to put yourself on the back-burner for so long. It's TIME for it to be "your year". Wishing you blessings and better days in 2012!

Sorry for the double post, but I couldn't get this goofy thing to work right. Just wanted the comment to show my name as you know me from my postings over the years!

dana michelle

Re: 2011, DON’T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE ASS.

You've had one hell of a rough year, Erin. My condolences on the loss off your mom. She was one plucky lady. I'm really glad to know that she at least went peacefully.

I think you will enjoy making vists with your therapy dog. Hopefully it wil bring you some healing, too. I woman in my choir started doing that with her two (TWO!!) She was proud when you performed on stage with your comedy routine. Your closeness to Kerry was important to her. Keep well and take good care of your mother. I know how much she loves you too. Fondly, Sue Moscato

Re: gonna try this again…

Go, chick, go!

Re: This shall be a rambling update…

Hi GC. Longtime reader dana michelle here. I am so sorry to read what you have all been through in the last month. I am very sorry to hear of the death of your aunt. I also had an Aunt Judy, who was my godmother, and she passed away several years ago. I saw her in the hospital the night before she passed, but unfortunately her death occurred sooner than we expected and I didn't say a 'real goodbye' to her. But I'm so glad I went to see her.

As for Gigglemom, she is truly one tough cookie! I'm amazed at her resilience. I've been checking back for an update and was fearing the worst.

My dad got pneumonia in December of 2009 and ended up on a vent for 5 days. We too, were uncertain if he would be able to breathe on his own. But breathe he did and in very short order the first two things out of his mouth were "I want to get out of here" and "My ass hurts!" which was so out of character for him that it broke the tension and we all laughed. Although he fought valiantly in rehab to get stronger and come home, his heart was just too tired out and we lost him at age 86 on April 10th of last year. I'm so glad we had those last few months with him. They were a gift.

I'm so, SO glad GM made it home. May God bless you both, and comfort you both in your loss.

Re: Gigglechick’s Open Mics…

I see where your new site is going with the calendar of weekly open mics. However, a lot of open mics happening weekly seem to be left off your calendar. I really miss the old Sunday through Monday MENU of all the open mics happening around NYC. You could pick and choose the ones you wanted to do. Any chance of bringing it back? Maybe you could have both? Just a thought. The rest of your new website is AWESOME! I hope that your Gigglemom is doing better.
